Head of Legal
- Contract type
As a result of an exciting internal restructure which has seen the promotion of the current Head of Legal into an Executive Board position, my client is looking to expand their highly regarded legal team by appointing a new legal figurehead in their West Yorkshire based office.
You will lead the operational aspects of Legal and Governance activity within the group, being responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Legal and Governance team, providing legal advice and support to relevant business.
The ideal candidate will have substantive PQE, preferably in a commercial discipline of law gained either from the private or public sector. Most importantly however, is your track record and commitment of developing those around you and leading by example - providing coaching, guidance, support and development as appropriate.
Day to day, you'll advise the group on legal, compliance and strategic matters affecting the group as well as working "hands on" on the drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts including (but not limited to) TPC, JCT, NDAs, software agreements, consultancy agreements and service agreements.
You'll lead the delivery of a diverse range of professional legal advice and manage the legal budget, however this would suit someone who is requiring a role that offers set hours and flexibility.
This is a highly professional and commercial outfit, however is also a body that understands the important of a happy workforce. In exchange for your commitment and dedication, your reward will be an interesting caseload, a feeling of adding value and work-life balance.
