A role has arisen for a Banking Solicitor (3-5 PQE) to join a highly regarded firm based in central London. The firm has a long-standing history and tradition and deals with private families, individuals, charitable intuitions, business and entrepreneurs. The firm is a market leader within the Banking sector

The Banking team deals with lenders, particularly private banks, by arranging credit facilities for trusts, corporates and individuals, advising on structuring borrowing for investment, business and charitable purposes, providing advice on all aspects of secured lending including priority of debts and security.

Ideally you will be a mid-level Solicitor looking to join a highly successful Banking Team. The successful applicant will also be an excellent communicator, good team player and have a keen interest in practice and business development.

The role:

The team assists lenders and borrowers in relation to loan facilities for trusts, corporates and individuals. They advise on borrowing for investment, business and charitable purposes and provide advice on all aspects of lending including priority of debts and security. The team covers a range of financing areas, including property finance, asset finance, general corporate lending, charity finance, private placements and syndicated lending.

The candidate would be expected to support the partners and other members of the team with business development, training, and with the practice generally. This might include supervising trainees or more junior solicitors.

Person Specification

Excellent organisational skills

Strong academic background

Self-starting approach to tasks and projects and ability to work on own initiative

Well-developed interpersonal skills - an ability to interact with people at all levels

Good communication skills, including an ability to persuade, present, write and précis

Ideally you will have Minimum 2.1 degree and a training contract undertaken in a mid-sized or city firm.
