Are you an experienced personal injury or clinical negligence litigator?

Hungry to work on interesting fast track clinical negligence cases alongside other talented lawyers?

The opportunity

My client is looking for an experienced and skilled Lawyer to join their team of highly successful clinical negligence lawyers in their Manchester office to run a varied caseload of litigated and non-litigated clinical negligence cases.  You will have the opportunity to represent clients

who have suffered injuries, for example, as a result of prescription/dispensing errors, dental treatment and delayed diagnoses.

With a passion for blending your technical expertise with your outstanding communication and client care skills, you will take pride in delivering a first class legal service to their clients.  Having the confidence and ability to take appropriate daily decisions on cases to ensure swift progression, will be key to your success.  To ensure you thrive in the role, they will provide you with structured supervision, coaching and training as well as a nurturing environment, where you can grow and shape your career.

The role

As a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years’ case handling experience, you will be assessing and advising on the prospects of success on a range of fast track clinical negligence claims up to the value of £25,000.  You will therefore need to have excellent knowledge of the law relating to personal injury/clinical negligence and the civil litigation process.  The role requires excellent prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail to enable you to construct clear and effective arguments, yielding the best result for their clients. You will need to show empathy and understanding, providing a professional legal service with a personal touch.

You will also be a team player and will enjoy engaging in marketing and business development opportunities.

Who they are

They are a law firm unlike any other.  With nearly 100 years’ experience of successfully representing clients of injury and mistreatment, they have the privilege of working with and supporting the Trade Union and Labour Movement and the people they represent.

By providing an inclusive environment, they ensure that individually and collectively they flourish to be the best they can be.  They pride themselves on being “the most experienced trade union, claimant and employment rights law firm in the UK”, an accolade that comes from their excellence in client care and their commitment to maintaining and enhancing the professional competence of their people.  They are proud of their collaborative and friendly working environment and their excellent work/life balance.

They recognise and reward high performance, remunerating their people fairly with competitive salaries and an extensive benefits package.  For more detailed information on their benefits, please visit their website.

They believe that attracting talent that reflects the diversity of the communities within which they live and work is a key part of their business, which is why they are an equal opportunities employer.
