Private Client Lawyer

This in-house role will place you working for the office of an ultra HNW individual and the family. You will work as part of an International operation which spans many continents, working as part of a growing legal team of 6.

The role

The company / family office is seeking an in-house Private Client Lawyer to work out of their prestigious Mayfair, West End base.

You will work alongside a small legal team in-house, which includes in London and Luxemburg. The role will be varied having you deal with a wide range of trusts, tax, charities and private client work. You will also manage external lawyers, tax advisors and trust managers who will report directly to you on complex matters.

You will be responsible for effective and efficient management of legal and tax aspects for all the family's activities.

You will be a commercially minded individual, you will monitor trends in the wealth and succession planning and supervise the implementation of necessary changes to work towards long-term goals. You will advise on legal contracts and manage risk, you will be involved in commercial decisions and work with a wide range of internal individuals and external bodies.

You will report into a head of legal and have excellent support, but also a good level of autonomy.

Requirements:

• You will be a Lawyer with at least 8 years PQE + (there is no upper limit on the amount of experience)
• You will have a strong knowledge of private client, tax, inheritance and corporate structuring law
• You should be commercially minded
• The ability to communicate well and work with different parties across many continents is key
• French as an additional language would be desired, but is not essential
• Salary is very negotiable and depends on your level of experience, but is a very generous package, plus an excellent benefits package
