Assistant Team Leaders

Planning & Regeneration (based mainly in Harrow) - Salary from £53,835 to £59,937 plus a New Starter Allowance of up to £5,000*

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Team Leaders to assist in leading our Planning & Regeneration Team.

HBPL is a leading public sector provider of legal services. We deliver a high quality service to six local authorities, schools and other public bodies in London and the South East.

About the position

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with leadership and management of the team, supporting the clients and developing team members.  The Assistant Team Leader’s duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Receiving and allocating instructions
  • Active supervision of staff to include appraisals, one to one’s and general mentoring
  • Personally conducting complex and high profile cases
  • Advising senior officers and elected members in a proactive and politically sensitive manner;
  • Acting as a senior liaison point for the practice’s clients; and
  • Supporting the strategic development of HB Public Law jointly with the Team Leaders and Principal Lawyers. 

 

 

The role will be based primarily in our Harrow office, but there will be travel required to other clients’ offices, including occasional evening meeting attendance.  

About you

The successful candidate will not only have extensive previous planning and highways legal experience but will also be passionate about teamwork and developing others.  A high level of client contact will be involved in this role and therefore it is essential that you exhibit good client care skills and can build strong working relationships with others.
