Planning Lawyer

Our client, a local authority based in the northern home counties is seeking a Planning Lawyer to cover a period of maternity leave.  

Our client is driven by delivering a high quality service, and is seeking an ambitious and capable Lawyer to join their well-established team.

The successful candidate will be covering the Principal Lawyers maternity leave and therefore a proven track record of carrying an extensive caseload is essential. Your caseload will include a mixture of day to day planning matters alongside matters of a more complex nature. Duties will include the following:

• Negotiating and drafting complex agreements;
• S106 agreements;
• S 278 agreements;
• Representing the council at Committee;
• Advising on CPO matters and
• Assisting with regeneration projects

The successful candidate will be a qualified Lawyer and our client is keen to speak to candidates from both the public and private sector. Due to the nature of the role, this position would be suitable for a candidate with excellent client care skills and a real “can do” attitude. It is essential that you can work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
