THE ORGANISATION

The MDDUS are a leading medical and dental defence organisation that has been supporting doctors and dentists for well over 100 years, dealing with the legal and ethical aspects of clinical practice. Membership covers hospital doctors, GPs and dentists, whether in the NHS or practising privately.

Working from offices in London and Glasgow, the in-house legal services department provide advice and representation in clinical negligence claims, General Medical Council/General Dental Council proceedings, advice on complaints, assistance with disciplinary  and regulatory matters, legal representation, support at Coroner’s inquests and assistance with ombudsman investigations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to continued growth, the department is looking for a motivated and well-organised solicitor. You will handle your own caseload of clinical negligence and regulatory work, and assist the Director of Advisory and Legal Services in the management  of more complex matters as well as advisory and other member representation. Training will be given in certain areas of Healthcare work if required.
