With plenty of variety in every day, you will use your knowledge of planning and associated highways laws to provide comprehensive advice on complex issues and at planning committees. Flagging up risks and supporting enforcement, you will be central to helping the team make informed decisions.

To join this friendly department, you will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Fellow or Associate with comprehensive experience of local authority legislation and local government law. Confident in court and inquiry situations, you will have solid negotiating capabilities. As you will be working in a politically sensitive environment, you will have great stakeholder management and communication skills, and your ability to explain complex legal issues will make you an invaluable part of the team.
