The role is to provide legal advice and support to PCC on a wide range of essentially litigation matters with an initial focus upon prosecutions for the following Council departments: Education, Housing, Trading Standards and Regulatory Services. It is envisaged that the role may expand into other areas within the Legal Services which could include Commercial Litigation and such other litigation matters as are delegated by the Head of Department.

You will be required to attend court and deal with the necessary preparatory work prior to advocating before the Court. Reporting to the Principal Lawyer managing the Team the role requires a person who can hit the ground running with regard to litigation practice, providing advice to Housing, Education and Trading Standards and Regulatory Services. You will be able to draft and execute court applications, documents and undertake court proceedings from inception to and including initial court appearances.
