Job Details
Well known firm are looking to appoint a commercial property solicitor, associate or senior associate to be a key person within the whole department - a lead fee earner. With that in mind, you should have upwards of 3 years PQE however your background could be high street, Legal 500, Legal 200 or large regional.
You should have the ability to stand on your own two feet, be self-sufficient and be of the mindset that you wish to become the "go to" person for clients in the region, and forge your own reputation still further with the help of a supportive firm.
Progression all the way to partnership is a possibility depending on your own figures and situation.
Typically, the firm attracts good quality work relating to the buying and selling of properties, landlord and tenant work, development work, agricultural work, leases of shops offices and industrial properties also some plot residential work comes in working on behalf of national homebuilder clients.
You should feel comfortable with running your own cases and developing your own relationships with these clients.
If you have your own networks , connection so work in progress that would also be of interest to the firm but what is important is your attitude towards client care - it's not all about figures, it's about servicing the client base in the right way and adding value for them.
Applications from relocators will be considered and you should be happy to live and work in the area, ideally within a 45 minute commute of Derby city centre. this means if you are commuting from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Leicester, Burton on Trent etc this would appeal to the firm.
