A very well established and award-winning practice is continuing with its expansion initiative and is now in a position to appoint an experienced Company & Commercial Solicitor to join its Corporate & Commercial Team in a senior capacity and be based at the firms' office in South Birmingham.

This Legal 500 rated practice is arguably one of the strongest regional firms in the West Midlands and it is renowned as being particularly strong within the corporate and commercial sectors. The team acts on behalf of a very strong client base which comprises business of every size from start-up initiatives right through to international organisations that have strong global brands.

The firm is keen to speak with either a Company & Commercial Solicitor or a pure Corporate Solicitor who has a minimum of 7 years' PQE and is well versed in dealing with complex and innovative commercial transactions. The firm is open for someone to join at Senior Associate level and offer a clear and defined path to partnership or, alternatively, the practice is happy to consider existing partners who wish to move laterally either in a partner capacity or to be employed on a full-time basis as a consultant should there be a desire to dedicate all of your time to fee earning and not be burdened with full partnership responsibilities.

Notwithstanding that this is a key, senior appointment, there is also massive scope for development. Part of the rationale for this hire is for the firm to further increase its client base and its standing in the market so you will need to be proficient in business development, networking, marketing and have a desire to open up new revenue streams and bring on board new clients. In return, however, the firm is prepared to significantly invest in you to enable you to progress through the firms' structure so you will really will have a solid backing to help you succeed.

What sets this role apart is that the firm is able to offer flexibility in with working pattern; be that perhaps working 4 days per week and/or working from home and/or with staggered start and finish times which is something that the much larger national and international practices may not be able to offer with regularity.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who remains keen on continuing to deal with top quality work but who is perhaps disillusioned or tired of working for one of the national firms in the city centre. This role would allow you to work in a more collaborative environment where you will be a key decision maker and will have very little in the way of bureaucracy or committees to answer to, and you will also have the freedom to develop your own ideas and reap the benefits of this.
