IN-HOUSE PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY LAWYER

We are recruiting on behalf of a FTSE250, national insurance business who are looking to add more qualified lawyers to this department, at c3-4yrsPQE and also prospectively at cNQ/ILEX level. The successful candidates will ideally be from a prominent professional indemnity private practice department, or undertaking a similar role in an insurance company.

Our client is a well known national insurer with a claims management and underwriting capability at various locations across the UK, including a significant legal capability in Yorkshire which handles a diverse portfolio of professional risks. They are an outstanding business which offers an excellent career path for those who are willing to seize the opportunity. These roles are for junior to mid-level lawyers to join a team, handling a portfolio of largely professional indemity and D&O claims. You'll have your own responsibilities and also support more senior adjusters in relation to larger claims so the breadth and quality of work will be good.

An appetite for challenge is a must in this role, as well as having a practical commercial approach to resolution of claims. To be considered for the role you will be a qualified solicitor (c2-4 years PQE, or at the more junior level cNQ or an ILEX) with demonstrable experience of professional indemnity work. You will be a confident individual with drive, ambition and excellent people skills. Candidates from strong commercial litigation backgrounds will be considered, but professional negligence experience would be a preference.
