Information Governance Locum

Our client, a busy Local Authority based in Kent, are currently in need of an Information Governance Locum.

The position will be responsible for dealing with subject access requests for the Council as well as advising on freedom of information matters and data protection.

The post is expected to last a minimum of 3 months, with a high likelihood to extend further, and will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced law professional with good knowledge of freedom of information law. A qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive is not essential but beneficial.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• At least 12 months experience dealing with subject access request and FOI/DP matters
• The ability to handle commercial contract reviews in line with GDPR
• Experience implementing data protection processes and procedures
• Confidence to act as liaison with external legal counsel and internal

The client is looking to conduct telephone interviews at the earliest convenience this week and have the successful candidate start as soon as Monday.
