Your new company
This is a unitary authority on the South Coast that has the powers of a non-metropolitan county and district council combined.

Your new role
You will provide legal advice and support to this organisation on a wide range of essentially litigation matters with an initial focus upon prosecutions for the following Council departments: Education, Housing, Trading Standards and Regulatory Services. It is envisaged that the role may expand into other areas within the Legal Services which could include Commercial Litigation and such other litigation matters as are delegated by the Head of Department. The successful candidate will be required to attend court and deal with the necessary preparatory work prior to advocating before the Court.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX qualified lawyer You will have excellent IT skills and be educated to degree level or equivalent. You will need to be a strong and clear communicator who possesses clear negotiation and persuasion skills. Attention to detail coupled with a flexible and pragmatic approach is required of this role.
