Job Details

A leading criminal defence firm in the City of London are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Newly Qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor to join their Confiscation department. The firm have been involved in many high profile cases to date and continue to be at the forefront of criminal defence law.

My client is looking for someone who has a commitment to quality client care and who can maintain a high standard of work and concentration when perusing large volumes of complex evidence. Organisational skills are key. The candidate needs to be an excellent communicator as there will be direct client contact, as well as contact with Counsel, Experts, the Courts and other third parties.

It is expected that you will have a strong working knowledge of Criminal Law having undertaken a seat during your Training Contract. You will be confident advising on matters of Terrorism, Drugs Offences, Violent Crime, Money Laundering, Public Order Offences, Sexual Offences, Extradition and Violent Crime.

It is expected that you will have a strong working knowledge of POCA 2002 (Proceeds of Crime Act 2002).

Due to the nature of the role and the level of clients, any candidate would have to demonstrate a high level of maturity and professionalism.
