Assisting in the lifecycle of the procurement process including drafting of all agreements, you will advise on all aspects of general common law (mainly civil) and conduct litigation in civil and employment matters. This includes drafting pleadings and court documents with court appearances up to Court of Appeal. You will also provide advice throughout government on contracts, leases and land, human resources and employment matters and offer guidance, support and supervision to the two trainees.

As a substantially experienced UK/ Commonwealth qualified barrister or solicitor, you will have a background in civil litigation, in particular employment and medical negligence work and of running a caseload. Your strong analytical and communication skills should be complemented by a flexible approach.

We offer an extensive benefits package with 30 days leave pa, fare paid travel, freight, pension contribution and relocation allowance (see overseas vacancy information).
