Banking Associate / Partner

This highly commercial Northern firm with a strong base in Leeds are looking to recruit a strong Banking Lawyer, either an existing or aspiring Partner. The role is to work within their existing team and eventually take over from a lead Partner who will increasingly move towards retirement and as well as driving a department forward over the mid to longer term. they have panel appointments across the North that they are not currently capitalising upon from the Leeds office so there is plenty of scope to add value.

This would suit someone either at Partner level who is looking for a greater degree of autonomy and independence than they already have, or you may be someone approaching Partner level who is looking for clarity of career opportunity. It may well be that you are within a strongly positioned team but one where there are already a strong base of partners and perhaps not the ability to easily create the business case for an additional partner. Taking a senior role within the team in Leeds you would have the support, both technically and from a business development perspective, from a range of colleagues both from Banking and wider disciplines, both locally and across other offices.

The firm have a strong reputation within the middle market, they handle some decent sized deals but are of a size and offer the flexibility that some of the larger firms are unable to offer any more, as a consequence if you are a larger firm and are struggling to accommodate the clients financial expectations then this could be an ideal opportunity as the firm is high quality, it has depth and breadth across the full range of departments yet are not of a size where they are inflexible.
