Our client is a well rated Legal 500 firm with a sizeable Corporate Recovery practice and solid market presence in Leeds in the mid-market. Being part of a firm which has specialist teams in Corporate, Banking, Debt, and Real Estate, this Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team has a great platform and the brand is particularly visible in the Yorkshire business community because of the effort it makes to be involved in the region and it's commitment to PR and marketing to push its profile and reputation. Long has this firm been a very popular option for candidates leaving the larger national firms, and also for those stepping up from regional practice for a true commercial brand, and in recent years they've evolved into being something of an 'employer of choice' in Leeds.

In response to pressure of work they are looking to recruit two further Solicitors, at NQ-6yrsPQE level. These new recruits will handle a mix of non-contentious and contentious corporate and personal insolvency work. Working closely with partners your work will include acting for insolvency practitioners in respect of their appointment as administrators/liquidators/administrative receivers/trustee in bankruptcy; assisting clients in the disposal of company assets and carrying out investigations in respect of directors' conduct and antecedent transactions; acting for LPA Receivers; defending director disqualification proceedings - a really broad exposure to the whole range of corporate recorvery and insolvency.

This department works with private equity providers as well as private individuals, directors, shareholders and creditors, banks, asset-based lenders and other financial stakeholders, and so you can expect a high level of client contact from the outset.

Suitable candidates will have had at least 6 months exposure to Corporate Recovery, ideally gained with a national firm or recognised regional commercial practice. Having a good level of self confidence is key given the level of client contact expected, and the firm will want someone with enthusiasm to get involved in the departments marketing and business development initiatives. This is a firm which is doing well and has real market momentum, they've done a profit share to staff this year, and are working hard at nurturing a positive culture.
