Our National client has a solid Clinical Negligence team and they currently have 2 vacancies and are seeking a Senior Solicitor with a 5+ PQE and an NQ to 2 PQE Solicitor to work on high value defendant claims. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading firm on a range of interesting cases in a team recognized for the quality of its work in the Legal 500 and Chambers directories.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The role involves investigating medical negligence claims, obtaining factual witness evidence and expert reports, advising clients as to the merits of claims, valuing claims, negotiating settlement where appropriate and defending claims that are defensible. The successful candidate will have his/her own caseload as well as assisting on more complex cases depending on experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • The candidate will have good clinical negligence experience or personal injury claims experience
  • We work in a paperless environment so good IT skills are required (full training on our systems will be provided)
  • Excellent organisational skills

Compliance with internal and client data security guidelines
