Pensions Associate

We are currently recruiting for a Pensions Associate with 1-5 years PQE. Ranked in the Top 20, this firm is a top international practice operating from over 20 offices across Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the US. This opportunity comes with fantastic long term prospects within a market leading practice.

The Role

The growing Pensions practice is ranked highly and just recently they have acted on some landmark cases bringing lots of industry attention. They are looking for candidates who can deal with a full spectrum of issues affecting pensions schemes and the companies which sponsor them. This will involve drafting documentation to advising businesses and trustees.

It is important to note this role will not require any work related to employee remuneration, employment or incentive matters. This is purely a pensions specific opportunity.

The Pensions group works with corporates, trustees, public and regulatory bodies across all industry sectors on the most complex and risky pensions matters across finance, insolvency, tax and general and public law.

The work is varied and will include advising trustees, employers and scheme administrators on legal issues that arise from schemes as well as advising on funding deficits in defined schemes and the difficulties that can come from the increased costs of financing them. Clients will include professional and regulatory bodies on private/public sector pensions issues.

Requirements

• You will be a Pensions Associate with between 1-5 years PQE
• You will have strong academics (min 2:1 degree) and be commercially minded
• Experience gained at a City or regional firm with a recognised pensions practice
• You should have a meticulous eye for detail
• You will work in the City of London office
• Salary is negotiable depending on your background and level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package
