We are looking for 2 candidates who have knowledge and experience of complex housing disrepair matters, who are able to mentor junior officers and work collaboratively with Housing Services colleagues in responding to claims against the Council.
The successful candidates will be a Solicitor or Barrister, FCILEx or will hold an equivalent legal qualification. All candidates must demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in the field of housing disrepair litigation, in addition to excellent interpersonal skills. An ability to hold a personal caseload of complex matters, to prioritise and work to tight deadlines, work flexibly to find pragmatic solutions and a willingness to develop new areas of expertise will be essential.
All roles offer the opportunity for flexible working and generous annual leave entitlement (up to 28 days, excluding bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years’ service). Leeds City Council is a member of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.
