We are looking for 2 candidates to carry out legal and administrative work in relation to claims managed within the Housing Disrepair Team.

The work is varied, interesting and challenging. It is essential that the successful candidates have good interpersonal skills, are able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, are able to prioritise their own workload, work flexibly and find pragmatic solutions to problems. An ability to work to tight court deadlines, will also be essential.

The successful candidates will have 2 A levels (A-C); a Paralegal qualification (e.g. Affiliate member of CILEX -includes completion of 5 CILEX level 3 units) or equivalent qualification; or 4 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent including Maths and English; or appropriate alternative qualifications - for example level 3 NVQ in Administration and have experience of working in a legal environment for 12 months in the past 5 years.

All roles offer the opportunity for flexible working and generous annual leave entitlement (up to 28 days, excluding bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years’ service). Leeds City Council is a member of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.
