Legal Counsel

Douglas Scott have recently partnered with an international leader in the business-to-business service sector who are looking to expand their pioneering in-house legal team. This role will sit within the in-house legal and advisory team of said business and will report directly into the UK General Counsel.

As our client is a global leader in the B-2-B service sector, with clients ranging from international FTSE100 companies to European governments, the in-house legal team is looking to expand its presence within the UK to fully accommodate the rapid growth of the business.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious candidate who has a strong commercial aptitude and has a PQE range from NQ to 3 years. This will be a challenging role with a fast-paced edge, so candidates are advised to only apply if they have experience of working within an in-house legal team in a commercial capacity. General daily duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Draft, negotiate and review a broad range of commercial contracts under time sensitive conditions- Saas, IT, MSA, NDA's, procurement contracts etc
• Provide legal services to maintain internal policies and procedures- minimising legal and regulatory risk for the business
• Effectively liaise and coordinate with external counsel and internal departments
• Promote awareness of legal issues in the business, particularly amongst the business decision makers in order to maximise business opportunities, and minimise business risk
• Mitigate business risks by liaising with senior stakeholders to evaluate internal processes and procedures- advising change where necessary
