Job Details

Our client is a UK top 100 national law firm. They require an additional Paralegal for their Social Housing team based in Leeds. They act mostly for Housing Associations, providing advice on all aspects of property law.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy team on a wide range of property matters, predominantly focused on sales for Housing Association clients (shared ownership, re-sale price covenant, outright sales, land disposals). Additional tasks will include supporting the partners in the team in relation to acquisition from developers (completion statements, liaising about completion dates, priority searches etc) and supporting the team on security work (reviewing searches, reviewing titles, assisting in preparing disclosures for certificates of title).

You will need:

  • To be a Paralegal with previous commercial property experience ideally dealing with sales work, although on the job training for social housing aspects of the role will be provided and you will receive ongoing day to day support from the more experienced lawyers.
  • An interest in Social Housing is essential.
  • Attention to detail, efficiency and the ability to use own initiative is also essential.
  • The ability to work to challenging deadlines.
