Locum Planning Lawyer

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team, based in the Northern Home Counties.

The assignment is initially offered for a 3 month period to begin ASAP, with the possibility for extension dependant on the needs of the organisation.

The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed a caseload of matters within Local Government.

The day-to-day duties will include:

• Providing advice on a wide range of planning matters
• Advising and representing clients in negotiations and discussions
• Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
• Offering support to other legal departments as and when required
• Attending planning inquiries and Planning Committees

The position offers an hourly rate of £35 - £40 per hour, along with the option of some homeworking
