Lexcel accredited practice seeks Mental Health Fee Earner on a full or part-time basis in Hampshire.

Joining a specialist team located in the Havant office, the successful Mental Health Fee Earner will manage a complex caseload and provide advice and representation to patients and their relatives with minimal supervision.

  • Representing clients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Treatment and aftercare issues
  • Lawfulness of continued detention
  • Attending Manager Hearings and Mental Health Review Tribunals
  • Human rights issues
  • Participation in business development initiatives
  • Meeting firm set billing targets
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of development within your specialist field
The Candidate
  • Applications are welcomed from solicitors, legal executives or paralegals with a minimum of one year’s PQE
  • Technically proficient in all aspects of mental health
  • Demonstrates outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Highly organised, working well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
