Our client is a leading utilities company in the South East. They are looking for an experienced commercial solicitor to join their in-house legal team in their Kent based offices.

Expert legal counsel will be required to support end to end management of the contract life-cycle for various business functions and projects. A solid grounding and experience in some or preferably all of the following areas of law will be required for the post: IT contracts, Procurement Law for Utilities, Data Protection, Environmental law, Construction Law (in particular NEC3 and NEC4 contracts).

Examples of typical duties will be to draft, review and advise on commercial contracts across a variety of business areas and document types; to advise on broader commercial matters facing the business, management of commercial litigation and disputes resolution, complaints & claims response; training of various departments across regulatory/compliance matters as required.
