Having helped to recruit their first In-house Counsel, my client is now looking to appoint a second lawyer in a new position, required as a result of continued organic growth and anticipated expansion through acquisition. It remains an exciting time.
This Private Equity backed business is a market leader in many of its sectors and has diversified in recent years allowing it to offer a more complete service to its client base - which are themselves equally diverse and incorporate anything from universities to professional football clubs.
This is a brand new position and requires a commercially minded generalist with a pragmatic approach and a demonstrable desire to work In-house, to support the current legal counsel in everything they do.
Ideally you'll have some PQE in commercial law and/or commercial drafting, however by the very nature of working In-house you can expect a huge scope of work and exposure that could cover anything from issues concerning; property, compliance and disputes.
NQ's will be considered, but we'd anticipate this role probably best suiting a lawyer with a couple of years PQE and the position is based equidistant from Leeds and Manchester. They would also potentially consider someone with slightly more PQE who might be able to offer a comprehensive service on a part time basis?
You'll need strong acumen, a robust and confident personality. You can be assured of the quality of the work and commercial exposure you can expect. Salary is likely to be in the region of £45k, we are therefore interested to hear from commercial candidates with innovation, energy and vision who will help this business realise the company goals.
