We have recently restructured our service to better align with the council’s functions and meet its changing needs and are now looking for experienced and highly motivated professionals to join the existing team.
Principal Lawyer – Property and Regeneration – GOV00118
LPO8 (£61,338 - £64,422)
You will be the lead lawyer for Property and Regeneration and deal with some high profile projects. Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Contracts, you will manage a busy team of lawyers and be responsible for the provision of high quality solution focussed services to internal and external clients.
You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in the area of Property and Regeneration work and a sound understanding of the applicable legal framework and practice. You will also be able to demonstrate experience of managing a team and of dealing with senior officers and Members of the Council.
This post is politically restricted in accordance with section 2 of the Local Government & Housing Act 1989.
You must be a Solicitor or Barrister with significant relevant PQE.
