Tower Hamlets has an established Lexcel accredited Legal Team that provides services to the Council across the full range of its functions.  We strive to provide excellent services and pride ourselves on the exciting variety of work we undertake in-house.  We have recently restructured our service to better align with the council’s functions and meet its changing needs and are now looking for experienced and highly motivated professionals to join the existing team.

Legal Assistants (4) Scale 6 – GOV00120 (£27,402 – £29,010)

You will provide support on case work, including conducting some routine cases across the Legal teams, by rotation.  You will be able to balance the demands of routine casework and carrying out paralegal support such as preparing bundles for court, issuing proceedings and attending counsel at court.  

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to pick up new areas of work relatively quickly and work at pace.

You will have completed and passed the Legal Practice Course.
