A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join an award-winning firm of Financial Advisers, who have been established for nearly 50 years and who offer a service that is second to none in quality and tailored to ensure clients needs are met.

You will be joining a firm who are recognised for their professionalism and successful track record. Although the role will provide a significant amount of autonomy, there will be support internally from a dedicated Tax Manager and a team of professionally qualified financial advisers who are knowledgeable about trusts and estate administration and will provide support on the delivery of client work.

Responsibilities:

• As the Private Client Lawyer in this newly created role, you will manage the LPA process and estate administration cases from start to finish
• You will work with the Tax Manager and IFA team to provide clients with relevant advice on IHT, trusts and capital gains tax issues and ensure that services relating to trusts are compliant with all relevant legislation
• Manage all other aspects of trust administration, including supporting trustees in meeting all relevant obligations
• Develop the internal processes; take full responsibility for the case management software and for maintaining client files
• Working closely with the marketing team to develop the new business process and activities and generate new work from external contacts
• You will work with the team of financial advisers to identify and realise opportunities within the existing client base
• Explore and develop opportunities for providing other complementary services to clients

Requirements:

• You will have a minimum of five years pqe but any applications will be considered if you are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role
• Ideally be STEP qualified
• Confident in meeting with existing clients and new prospects, as well as committed to the highest levels of client service and efficient delivery
• Possess a genuine enthusiasm and demonstrated track record of networking and business development as you will grow the business into a profitable business line alongside the existing financial advisory practice
• You will be highly organised and able to work under own initiative
• Technically competent with practical experience with LPAs, estate administration, wills and trusts
• You will have strong attention to detail and awareness of compliance and regulatory considerations
