Head of Conveyancing

A Leading Manchester based firm are looking for a Head of Conveyancing to join the Oldham office leading a team of 7, whilst overseeing a larger Conveyancing dept of circa 20 employees across 5 offices. You must have previous management experience and be confident in your technical ability. Partnership is on the table for this role as you progress through the internal development programme and take on additional duties.

The firm have been established for over 30 years and have a network of 6 offices within the Greater Manchester area. The role has come about as the current Head of Department is taking a step back from a full time management position.

You will be directly managing a team of 7 at the Oldham office and you will be expected to make monthly trips to the other offices to support the wider Conveyancing team. All offices are self-sufficient and you will hold team meetings for the Conveyancing department at the Oldham office. Additionally, you will handle a caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion, with full time assistant support and an experienced legal secretary to handle post completion matters.

Partnership is certainly on the table for this role - the firm are hopeful this position will progress through the internal development programme with a view to becoming Partner in the near future.
