My client, a highly reputable legal 500 law firm have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Ligiation Fee Earner to join their Dispute Resolution team in Harlow.

To be considered you must have a minimum of 12 months experience.

Candidates will need to have the ability to get to the key issues quickly and not get embroiled in unnecessary detail.

Areas of Law covered will include:

Breach of Contract
Consumer Protection
Neighbour disputes
Contentious Probate
Professional Negligence
Landlord and tenant
Debt Collection

The above are the core subjects, candidates need to have the ability to apply the law in a practical way to give the best outcome for the client and will need to be able to think outside the box rather than having a rigid approach.

Candidates do not necessarily need to have experience in all matter types but must have the ability to know how to find out what to do. This law firm works with clients from off the street as well as cross referrals from their commercial and other non-contentious departments.

A good knowledge of civil procedure rules and preferably some experience of the high court. Knowledge of enforcement procedures is also required, along with an understanding of the different funding options including CFAs DBAs and LEI. Some advocacy will be required.

Candidates should have excellent client care skills, good computer / typing skills and the ability to:

be self-sufficient
work under pressure and to tight deadlines
work towards achieving set KPIs (financial and matter time targets)
promote and develop self, team and the firm
