Solicitor - Private Client - (Care,Capacity, COP) West Sussex

A local and well respected firm with several offices in West Sussex are seeking to add to what is an already established and successful Private Client Team which has grown steadily and raised its reputation substantially in the last few years attracting some excellent personnel to what is now a very strong team who deal with a broad range of matters including specialist expertise in Care, Capacity and Court of Protection

The specialist team has a broad level of experience comprising of Partners, Solicitors and Legal Executives and is very well supported by some very capable Assistants. You will naturally be expected to manage you own caseload with some supervision but also take the lead regularly on client matters. Because of the specialist nature of the work and the quality of the expertise within the team work is taken on not only locally but from the surrounding counties as well as London.

The team are accredited to a number of industry relevant panels including OPG Panel Deputy, STEP, SFE, Action On Elder Abuse and Dementia Friends (to name a few). They are involved in all manner of work including Specific Applications to the Court of Protection e.g. Statutory Wills, Gratuitous Care, Retrospective Approval for financial decisions, OPG Reports and replies to OPG investigations and acting as and for Attorney (Property and Financial Affairs and also as Health and Welfare)

To be considered for the role you should be an experienced Solicitor with a minimum of 2 yrs PQE+ with sound knowledge appropriate to work the team is engaged with specifically contested Court of Protection proceedings and recovery of misappropriated assets. As an individual you will be ambitious, keen to play your part in the team development and able to manage your caseload with minimal supervision. Ideally you will also have a keen eye for business development/networking opportunities as well as all round communication skills with a particular focus on client care ensuring the best possible outcomes each and every time.
