Solicitor - Tax - (NQ+) - Southampton £40K+

The tax team is lead by several highly experienced partners based across the Midlands and the South East. They deal with a broad range of UK wide matters covering corporate , venture capital, real estate and employee incentive schemes. You will enjoy advising across a whole host of matters within these four key areas which will provide ample opportunity to develop your expertise further and engage with a broad range of clients across the UK.

You may find yourself regularly involved with the firm's corporate lawyers providing tax advice on a whole host of corporate transactional work or playing a key role with venture capital schemes advising investors and structuring schemes to ensure regulation and compliance within HMRC. The firm has a substantial corporate team and an even larger real estate team who you support on a broad range of structurally complex development and real estate transactions. Employee incentivisation is a further are where tax team succeed and working collaboratively with their counterparts in other key teams provide effective solutions in restructuring these schemes in relation to M&A and private equity deal structures.

As you would expect the tax team's expertise is in high demand, you will be part of a very busy department and will work closely with highly respected Tax Partners on a full spectrum of work. You will assist on large and very complex transactions, engaging with and advising some very high-profile clients.

You should already have a good grasp of tax related matters and be able evidence your developing expertise and technical knowledge of this specialist area. You may already be on your way to specialising in one particular area within the tax landscape or perhaps a sound generalist with a desire to specialise as you develop further professionally.
