Birmingham City Council is the largest single local authority in Europe offering a range of opportunities and regeneration. With Birmingham and the surrounding areas continuing to develop, the council pride itself to make life better for the millions of people who live and work in the city.

Your new role

As an experienced Legal Assistant, you will be working in the Birmingham Childrens Trust in Erdington and supporting the wider legal team. This will involve preparing court bundles and legal documents for planning meetings and pre-proceedings. In addition, this will involve providing support to support workers, senior managers and legal professionals with the preparation of documentation, witness statements and liaising with third parties.

What you'll need to succeed

As an experienced Legal Assistant, you will ideally have an LPC or equivalent or working towards one. You will also have had experience of working as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal previously.

What you'll get in return

You will be working with an employer who is an accredited Investor in People and who are renowned for their supportive culture that can offer flexible working. You will be covering a range of potential projects within the council and have input into lots of different areas, offering a great deal of variety and flexibility. You will be based in their office in Erdington and paid a competitive salary.
