SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER

£59,063 - £63,298 (from April 2019) per annum SMG 3 Grade
37 hours per week

We are looking for an innovative and pro-active Lawyer to lead an efficient and highly effective (and Lexcel accredited) Governance & Legal Services Team. You must be able to balance principles of good governance and the ability to find pragmatic solutions to ensure that the Council makes the best use of its resources.

This is a key position reporting to the Assistant Director Governance, Procurement & Commissioning responsible for driving forward the Council’s Governance and Legal Services.

Priority areas include maximising commercial opportunity to reduce our reliance on government funding (we currently have a solar farm and built and let properties for commercial rent), supporting business growth and managing population growth in the Borough as well as supporting early help and support services and safe-guarding for children and adults where we have a regional reputation for good practice. Effective enforcement is an aligned and important priority for the administration.

You must be an authentic leader demonstrating the values of the organisation in everything that you do, motivating your team to focus on providing services that maximise outcomes.

The team has excellent relationships with Members but your ability to communicate with and establish your credibility with members is crucial as you will work closely with them across the political spectrum.
