Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Contracts and Procurement Locum within a respected local authority for a start at the end of February. This is a vital position to provide all legal advice and requirements relating to contracts and procurement processes within a local authority in the South West. This is initially a 3 month contract with a high possibility of extension.

Duties include:

• Ensuring the adherence to all local authority processes, statutory duties and requirements for OJEU processes and procurement for a variety of areas
• Approving and monitoring of bids, tenders and contract award for various goods and services within a large local authority including social care contracts, street lighting, telephony, IT, development, facilities, recruitment etc
• Providing and advice and guidance to various managers in variety of departments
• Representing the best interests of the local authority while ensuring a high level of statutory compliance including EU Regulations
• Dealing with all due diligence and data protection requirements as set out under GDPR
• Monitoring contracts and reviewing compliance and service agreements

This would be an ideal role for somebody with previous Contracts and Procurement experience as this is a pre-requisite of the position.
