Litigation Lawyer required for an initial 4 month period to join a local authority based in Kent
This is an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Lawyer, or experienced Paralegal who is carrying their own caseload, to join a City council in Kent. Our client is looking to hear from candidates with a background in the public sector due the nature of the work, however those from private practice are encouraged to apply.
The role within the Litigation part of the team and is for someone to deal primarily with more complex High Court Litigation, involving defending Judicial Review in the form of Planning, Regulatory and Enforcement. You will be undertaking the casework aspect of the role and carrying out research and instructing counsel. Previous experience in this area is essential.

The caseload will largely be Civil litigation but if candidates have experience in Criminal litigation, this would be desirable as there is the opportunity to pick up Licensing and Anti-Social Behaviour matters.
