We're working with an award winning Litigation firm which has a nationwide client base ranging from household names with significant public profile and sizeable work forces, to independent businesses, single site operators, SME/OMBs. The firms acts for clients in Yorkshire, the North West, London, and genuinely across the whole of the UK, though their HQ office location is in Leeds. Given the strength of their 'trusted advisor' relationships this boutique practice now wants to benefit from a broader range of instructions from those same business clients, and Employment Law is an obvious area for them to add to their service list.

To expand and capitalise on market opportunities they want to appoint at least one Partner level candidate to front Employment for their brand. Suitable candidates will be technically strong and likely 7yrsPQE+so as to be able to work confidently without technical supervision from anyone else in the firm. It is important that you have some base of work to bring by way of a folloiwng, but there are also significant opportunities to cross sell into their client base so it is an exciting platform to be bolting on to. At present this firm refers work on to other practices, and they'd much rather retain those instruction internally if they can get the right Employment lawyer aboard.

Beyond their technical expertise this firm thrives on personal relationships and high levels of client care, so to fit with this brand you'll need to be a lawyer who works hard at client service and who is focused on relationships. This firm enjoys their work and have a colleagiate atmosphere and one where they trust their lawyers to perform and share a common focus. To this end working remotely is a core practice with quite a few senior lawyers only attending the office infrequently. Their IT systems are very good and have had necessary investment so as to be scaleable for blue chip clients which is impressive for such a compact firm. Consequently this firm are able to engage lateral hires who are not necessarily residing in Leeds or London and that won't be a problem.
