Are you a Personal Injury Executive (Fee earner or Legal Executive or PI Solicitor) that is looking for a new challenge at a forward thinking and progressive firm that will invest in you as an employee? Our valued client in Stoke have an exciting opportunity for a Pre Litigation Executive to assist with Pre Litigated RTA, EL/PL claims.

The Role

The role will be based at their modern offices in Stoke working alongside a friendly, supportive and results driven team. You will have all of the technologies you need at your disposal and will be trained and developed throughout.

You will be required to undertake necessary investigations and evidence gathering in order to allow for a decision on whether or not to proceed to litigation. You will be instrumental inf preparing cases for issuing, up to but not including drafting of Claim Form and Particulars of Claim.

Tasks include - initial assessment on merits when the case exits the portal, obtaining evidence in support of liability including from witnesses, pre-action disclosure, obtaining medical evidence where appropriate, instructing non-medical experts where appropriate, decisions on disclosure, assessing value of claim, attending on clients, witnesses, experts, union clients, third parties and defendants.

The Requirements

  • Knowledge of PI law - (RTA, EL/PL)
  • Knowledge of Pre-Action Protocols, CPR and funding.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good Interpersonal /Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent client care skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and make appropriate decisions.
  • Good IT skills.
