We are looking for a Corporate Attorney to assist with various matters involving the Company’s legal affairs, compliance, privacy and risk management matters, primarily to non-US matters. 

Your essential functions will be:  

  • Assist with legal affairs involving corporate law, intellectual property, GDPR, data protection, privacy, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, litigation, and employment law 
  • Draft and review sales and business contracts and agreements 
  • Direct and manage outside counsel as needed 
  • Provide counsel and advice on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters 
  • Provide legal counsel on issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits 
  • Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company related to its operations in various countries 
  • Recommend and assist with the development of company policies on legal issues, including development and implementation of policies and programs related to international operations 
  • Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues which impact the Company’s global business 
  • Represent the company or its officials in various legal proceedings and before regulatory bodies 
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and stipulations, etc. 
  • Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents 

You will also pick up miscellaneous duties as assigned.  

You will have:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted to practice law, with post qualified experience in a wide range of legal matters 
  • Knowledge of international laws and regulations governing business matters 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills 
  • Proven ability to pick up issues quickly, to articulate complex matters clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing 
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently in an unstructured and fast-paced environment 
  • Strong project planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills 
  • Impeccable ethics and professional business demeanour 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, as well as internet research 
  • Experience working for a global company is preferred
