Business Development Manager – London

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Business Development Manager to work with an established team based in Central London. The main focus of the role is on Tenders and ideally, the successful Business Development Manager will have at least 2 years’ experience running tenders from their inception.  Working closely with the Head of Business development you will work to coordinate the tender/bid process, providing an advisory role to the Partners on tender strategy. Varied duties will include: highlighting opportunities and reviewing OJEU notices, arrange meetings to discuss tenders and set deadlines, drafting invitation to tender, assisting with pricing schedules, developing and maintain records and tender archives, and working closely with partners and fee earners to create and action presentations. This is a hands-on role that is suited to a business development manager who has previous experience of running tender process in a law firm, and who is driven and ambitious about a career in this area.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience running the tender process within a law firm for a minimum of 2 years
  • Previous experience in an editorial role in the tender process
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to deal
  • Highly personable with the ability to communicate across all levels and work effectively independently and as part of the team
