Doncaster Children’s Services Trust is the first Trust model to deliver services to vulnerable children, young people and their families and has made huge improvements to the services provided to children, young people and their families which in turn are improving outcomes for children.

The legal services team provides advice and representation to the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust on all matters concerning children and young people as an in house legal team.

We are looking to add to our dedicated, hardworking, well established legal team in Doncaster by recruiting a Team Manager which is a new role within the legal team.

The post holder will provide direct support to the Head of Legal Services and the legal team as a whole but specifically supporting and mentoring the legal officers and direct line management of the office manager based within the team. They will also carry a limited caseload.

The post holder will also have substantial experience as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister and have experience of children and family law as well as a background of leading and managing a team and will take a lead role in the development and promotion of best practice in care proceedings across the Trust ensuring professional ethics and high standards are maintained in direct liaison with legal service staff and social care staff.
