The Role

Because the firm are continuously expanding, they are looking for a Financial Services Regulatory Paralegal to join their flourishing Regulatory Finance team in London.

The core profile of the firm's clients are wealthy families, often with a number of family trusts and grant making charitable trusts. Their assets are likely to include shares in family owned businesses, quoted investments, bespoke open ended investment companies, hedge funds, landed estates and property.

They also act for business executives, entrepreneurs who have generated their own wealth, and families whose assets have accumulated over the generations, and across retail, technology and automotive.

Although most of their clients have a UK nexus, there is a substantial offshore, foreign and international aspect to their practice and you would be expected to be familiar with dealing with the challenges this brings.

You will have a hands on role, supporting a Partner at the firm.

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to assist/ provide regulatory advice across a wide range of areas (e.g. AIFMD, fund marketing and financial promotion, regulatory capital requirements, change of control, controlled functions, insurance-related transactions, MiFID II, client money, CASS, Senior Managers Regime and Listing, Prospectus and Disclosure Rules etc.).

You will have an incredibly exciting role, with the potential of incredible cross referral work with other departments; even this firm's Private Wealth Paralegals participate in interesting and varied M&A work, for example.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Financial Services Regulatory Paralegal (2+ years experience)
  • You should have experience in a wide range of Regulatory Finance matters, with high net worth clients/work included in this
  • You will have a "can do" attitude and be a first-class communicator
  • You should have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Salary is up to 40k, depending on experience
