Job Details

Construction Solicitor NQ-3 yrs approx (Re-train & Autonomy)

Leeds

I am working closely with an award winning Legal 500 practice in Leeds who are looking for a junior Construction Solicitor to join their growing practice. The team is led by a highly experienced Construction Lawyer well known in the region who set up the department in the last couple of years.

The department has gone from strength to strength and the Partner is looking for someone around NQ-2 yrs who is looking to get stuck into great quality work rather than simply being a number in a larger team.

The role is a mixture of contentious and non-contentious work so you will be dealing with everything from adjudications to construction contracts.

The firm act for wide range of clients from regional businesses to larger PLC's and blue-chip clients.

You will get exposure here and hands on training and support that you might not get elsewhere. There is unlimited potential with this opportunity and for the right, ambitious lawyer this could be the perfect opportunity to accelerate your career path/progression.

The firm is a full-service commercial practice and there is strong overlap between the Commercial Litigation, and general Commercial teams.

A candidate with a background in Commercial Litigation or general Commercial with a genuine interest in Construction Law would also be of interest.

The practice is listed highly in the Legal 500 for the majority of practice areas and whilst having a strong reputation for great quality work, it is also an inclusive and genuinely nice place to work.

Salary is competitive with generous benefits.

If you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a confidential chat.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
