An NHS Trust in West Yorkshire requires a Legal Services Coordinator to oversee their Inquest and Data Protection Team for an initial interim period of three months, with the likelihood of extension, whilst they recruit to the substantive post.

Day to day duties:

  • Coordinating the Trusts inquest function including; coroner inquest cases, subject access requests, police requests/ notices of intended prosecution and FOI requests
  • Directly line managing legal administrators and assistants
  • Providing general legal advice
  • Having a general understanding of the other Coordinators duties surrounding clinical negligence, EL & PL, property and vehicle claims
  • Reporting into the Legal Services Manager and deputising for the Legal Services Manager when required


Although desirable NHS managerial experience is not essential, however interested candidates should have previous experience managing/ coordinating a claims/ legal department.
Candidates wishing to apply should be educated to degree level (in a relevant subject (e.g. LLB Law) with a relevant post-graduation qualification.
Travel to other sites may be necessary from time to time so driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
