Job Details
Our client is a leading law firm based in Oxford. They have a national reputation for handling commercial and personal legal matters for a wide range of individuals, businesses, institutions, and third sector organisations. Their private client department is currently seeking an NQ - 2 years' PQE Private Client Solicitor.
The role would be to cover private client, but the department is renowned at dealing with high-value complex work and your involvement would depend upon your level of experience. The majority of this role will be wills and probate focused.
Your duties will include:
** Administering a wide range of complex estates often involving negotiations with HMRC regarding inheritance tax;
** Drafting of simple and complex wills and trusts often involving international and domicile issues;
** Acting for a number of high net worth individuals and landed estates providing advice on the use of wills and trusts to mitigate capital taxes;
** Acting for major UK charities providing legacy administration advice and advice on the drafting of wills and trusts.
The ideal candidate will have aspirations to become STEP qualified.
