Our client is a single site full-service commercial firm in Yorkshire, focused predominantly on a regional commercial client base, but also with national profile in some of their key client sectors. A well-liked and progressive firm, they are looking for an important appointment to their Litigation Department, which covers all aspects of disputes resolution for commercial clients, including general CDR and also Property Litigation, Insolvency and Construction matters.

They are looking for a Solicitor ideally at c3-5yrsPQE level, with it being envisaged that the successful candidate will be looking for a long term career move. Candidates who have aspirations for future partnership in the medium to long term will be of interest as this firm has a good record of promoting internally to partnership and so it isn't a taboo subject or an aspiration the firm is frightened of or wishes to deter.

The skills base they are looking for is mixed Commercial Disputes, and given the PQE they are hoping for someone who has had some decent exposure to date and so can run matters at their own level, and assist partners on more complex cases.

No following is needed - the work is here - though obviously if a candidate has started building their own network and pushing their professional profile then the firm will appreciate that and encourage it. The successful candidate will work in close support of the partners, and assist with basic supervision and direction of more junior colleagues. You'll enjoy good profile in the team, and enjoy broad ranging work. In due course if a candidate wants to follow a niche area then that will be up for considerations on its merits but certainly the firm are receptive to such suggestions.

This firm has a very pragmatic approach and a collegiate culture and so they will be looking for someone who is a team player and who is keen to get fully involved in the business. Remuneration will be competitive and appropriate for the skills this client wants to engage.
