The newly created jobs on offer stem from a recent management review and will be key to delivering our business objectives of providing modern cost-effective legal services, maximising income opportunities and driving continuous improvement.

About the role

You will have responsibility for leading and managing the litigation team (currently five staff). You will also be a lead lawyer for one of our partner councils and will deliver high-level corporate advice to senior officers and members. Additionally, you will lead the newly formed business development team (which includes a business development officer) whose work will underpin delivery of our business objectives.

About you

You will be a practising solicitor or barrister or FILEX with advocacy rights. You will be a highly competent litigator with advanced advocacy skills. You will have first class communication, management and leadership skills. Your meticulous attention to detail will be matched by your ability to give concise and clear advice.
